llolii am still haunted by these media images of 44, 000....and two of them very nearly my cousins who are in thailand for their honeymoon right now. they are amazingly ok, but very cut-up and shaken, as they were snorkelling when the wave approached.
that's it. all of pete and my christmas money is going to relief effort, especially because of the pitiful amount that north american leaders are offering survivors.

getting the house ready today for more visitors, of the grandparent variety...it has been a neverending stream, but all good.
we do have many many bottles of wine to dull our pain.
